Ogho Okiti

Dr Ogho Okiti is the Chief Executive Officer of ThinkBusiness Africa Ltd. and the Convener of the Africa Business Convention, platforms dedicated to delivering incisive economic and business intelligence while convening influential leaders across business and public sectors. A trained macroeconomist, he brings over 22 years of post-PhD experience, combining deep expertise in economic policy analysis with strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and media advisory.

Dr Okiti has advised public sector agencies, international organisations, Nigerian corporates, and multinational companies on critical economic and policy issues. He is widely recognised for his ability to curate evidence that informs public debate, advocacy, and decision-making, as well as for designing tailored communication programmes that shape stakeholder perception and enhance understanding of complex policy matters.

Highly skilled at translating intricate economic concepts into accessible, media-friendly formats, he deploys tools ranging from news releases and speeches to infographics and social media content. He has also trained multiple generations of journalists in effective economic policy reporting and analysis.

Since 2007, Dr Okiti has been an active member of several committees within the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, contributing significantly to stakeholder outreach and advocacy around economic reforms. His thought leadership and advisory work spans engagements with organisations such as Coca-Cola, Lafarge Africa, DFID, the Korean Development Institute, ARM Investment Managers, NECA and Cordros Capital.

Previously, Dr Okiti served as Chief Economist, Managing Director, and Chair of the Editorial Board at BusinessDay, where he played a pivotal role in shaping governments and corporations strategic policy communications beyond traditional public relations.
