Titilope Martins-Wakwe

Titilope Martins-Wakwe is a respected corporate governance professional with over a decade of experience
advising boards, senior executives, and institutions on corporate compliance, governance frameworks, and
board effectiveness. Widely regarded as a trusted board advisor, she has worked extensively with local and
multinational organisations, supporting boards to strengthen oversight, improve decision-making, and
embed sustainable governance practices.

Her work sits at the intersection of governance, sustainability, and organisational performance, with a strong
focus on helping institutions move beyond compliance to value-driven governance. Titilope is particularly
passionate about elevating board performance and ensuring that governance structures are aligned with
long-term sustainability, accountability, and impact.

Titilope holds Associate membership of Nigeria’s Corporate Governance Institute, the Institute of Chartered
Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, and the Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria. She is a
member of the Corporate Governance Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association – Section on Business
Law, a member of the European Corporate Governance Institute Community, and a member of the Young
Directors Forum (YDF) of the Chartered Institute of Directors, Nigeria. She previously served as the
Inaugural Chairman of the YDF Editorial Committee and was Editor-in-Chief of the maiden Young Directors
Digest, contributing to thought leadership targeted at emerging board leaders.

Certified as a Corporate Governance Audit and Board Evaluation Professional, Titilope is a sought-after
trainer and facilitator having facilitated numerous board and senior level corporate trainings. She serves as
a facilitator of the Company Secretarial and Business Advisory Course at the Legally Engaged Academy
and is also an Emotional Intelligence Certified Professional (EICP). She has authored and contributed to
several publications on corporate governance, compliance, board effectiveness, and company secretarial
practice.

A strong advocate for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) integration, Titilope is a Partner at
Dentons ACAS-Law, where she leads the Corporate Governance and Company Secretarial Practice and
co-leads the firm’s Sustainability Team. She holds a Certificate in ESG Reporting issued by The ESG
Institute and actively supports organisations navigating evolving sustainability and disclosure expectations.
