Between 2011 and 2013, Mr. Ugo served as Financial Controller at Ikoyi Hotels Ltd., playing a key role in its privatization, redevelopment, and the successful raising of over $100 million for the Southern Sun Ikoyi Hotels project.

In 2014, he joined Ikeja Electric following its privatization, starting as a Senior Accounts Manager and later establishing the Revenue Mobilization, Monitoring and Assurance (RMMA) Unit, which drove major improvements in commercial performance. He rose to the position of the Chief Marketing Officer, where he lead initiatives to grow revenue, reduce losses, and position the company as a world-class utility offering both energy and non-energy services.

Beyond corporate leadership, Mr. Ugo is a financial literacy advocate, blogger and analyst. In 2011, he founded Ugometrics to provide homegrown insights on personal finance and company analysis. In 2013, he expanded this vision by founding Nairametrics, a leading financial information platform designed to deliver accessible, expert-driven financial news and investment analysis to Nigerians.
